Well, I'm back

Steve and Christine took me to Nanaimo airport this morning, where I snapped this picture of a palm tree beside a Canadian flag! Then I took the short hop (flying time - 9 minutes) over to Vancouver airport, getting a great aerial view of Gibsons along the way. Only 45 minutes to make my connection there, and by the time I got to my gate, they were making the last call for Montreal. An uneventful flight back home, and I'm back to hot, sticky Montreal.

I'll try to do a final wrap-up post some time tomorrow.

Glad your trip home was uneventful and safe. We have palm trees here in Gibsons too. I forgot to show them to you when we were out and about!! Its a great aerial view of my BC 'home' .. weather is wonderful here. The kayak races went well today .. over 20 kayaks, 6 rowers each. Was kinda exciting. They came from east and west, north and south .. we have the California team staying here. Kinda fun. Enjoy the humid heat of Montreal !! :)

Dave, it sure sounds like you had a wonderful vacation!! The trip that Matt and I took to Washington and Vancouver in 2001 was actually probably our best vacation ever.The scenery was just awesome. I will never forget standing on the side of Mt Ranier, looking over the side at all these beautiful hills and flowers and a wee tiny bear in the distance. Truly an awesome display of God's handiwork!!
Sorry that you are back to reality. :)

And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, Ill say it clear,
Ill state my case, of which Im certain.

Ive lived a life thats full.
Ive traveled each and evry highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.
